SEBI issues circular regarding Approach to securities market data access and terms of usage of data provided by data sources in India securities market

Brief DetailsThe Securities and Exchange Board of India, through its Market Data Advisory Committee (MDAC) has reviewed the extent of free access and usage of data being provided in the public domain or otherwise by the respective sources of data in Indian securities market in order to further enhance the quantum as well as the ease of accessibility and usability of data disseminated in public by various data sources in Indian securities market and hereby advised all market intermediaries to make note of the following: “As far as the data provided by various data sources in Indian securities markets pursuant to regulatory mandates for reporting and disclosure in public domain are concerned, such data should be made available to users, ‘free of charge’ both for ‘viewing’ the data as also for download in the format as specified by regulatory mandate for reporting, as well as their usage for the value addition purposes.”

Therefore, Trainees Under National Employability Enhancement Mission are not exempted from the definition of “employee” under The Employees Provident Fund And Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952. Brief DetailsThe Employees’ State Insurance Corporation, in exercise of the powers conferred upon it under sub-section (1) of section 97 of the Employees’ State Insurance Act 1948 notifies to relax the eligibility condition of ESIC COVID-19 Relief Scheme. It is notified that the deceased Insured Person must have been in employment on the date of diagnosis of COVID19 disease and contributions for at least 35 days should have been paid or payable in respect of him / her during a period of maximum one year immediately preceding the diagnosis of COVID-19 disease resulting in death.

BSE notifies that the SEBI Turnover fee for the month of December 2021 will be debited to their respective settlement (valan) account by the 3rd working day of the next month i.e. January 05, 2022.
